The Almond Blossom 2025 Campaign will return to Santiago del Teide from 1st February to 4th March, featuring a programme comprising 42 activities that has established itself as one of the key events in the municipality. The routes through the almond trees, musical performances, workshops, and the traditional gastronomic route centred around almonds will be among the prominent offerings.
Commencing on 1st February, activities will kick off with both long and short routes through the almond blossoms, departing at 9:00 a.m. from the public square of Santiago del Teide. Simultaneously, the Agroartesanal Market will open its doors from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., alongside a watercolour workshop and a performance by the musical group Marea 3.
On 2nd February, participants will benefit from the service of spontaneous interpretation guides during the routes, while the market continues in the public square, culminating with a performance by the Contrastes group.
Themed Routes
Throughout the campaign, the routes will be repeated on various dates with particular themes. On 8th February, there will be a short route created for pets; on 15th February, the “Lovers” route will cater specifically to couples; and on 22nd February, the family route will feature activities suitable for all ages. Lastly, on 1st March, the “Without Barriers” route will be organised for individuals with limited mobility.
In addition to the routes, the agenda includes almond baking workshops, child-friendly activities, and an exhibition of cocktails made using this fruit.
Additional Activities
Music will play a pivotal role during the campaign, with performances in the public square every weekend, and the inaugural Almond Festival will take place on 1st March at the Chinyero Visitor Centre. The event will showcase folklore groups such as Araza and Aceviños de Santa Cruz.
On Tuesday, 4th March, the campaign will conclude with the Rural Carnival, featuring the traditional Machango de la Media Luna and the mascaritas dance, finishing with a celebration led by the Maraury Orchestra.
