The Tagoror of the Salud-La Salle district, presided over by Councillor Zaida González, convened for a new meeting, marking the first of the year, where significant community requests concerning enhancements in quality of life and safety within the area were deliberated. Among the primary proposals tabled, the need to boost police visibility at the basketball court in Las Indias Park, as well as in the vicinity of CEIP Tomé Cano during school drop-off and pick-up times, was particularly emphasised.

Representatives from various political factions within the Tagoror emphasised the significance of these initiatives in bolstering both safety and the overall quality of life in the neighbourhood. The councillor noted that the requests echo the worries of local residents and reaffirmed Tagoror’s dedication to finding solutions. In this regard, she reminded attendees that previous requests are already being addressed, including the beautification and cleaning of the Plaza de los Cantos Canarios, alongside forthcoming enhancements to El Quijote park.

González indicated that the proposal for a 24-hour study room will be relayed to the Education department of the council, particularly during examination periods. It was unanimously agreed that this study facility will be established at Casa Mascareño. In relation to the installation of defibrillators at the football pitches, both the councillor and district coordinator, Tamara del Pino, clarified that these will be provided by the Sports Service for the pitches that currently lack them.
