The yearly calendar of pilgrimages in Tenerife has commenced. The opening event occurred this Sunday in both the South and the North, specifically in Arona and Tigaiga (Los Realejos), each celebrating San Antonio Abad. Although these two festivities exhibit distinct characteristics, they share the core essence of joy and the unified aim of having a wonderful time. While the second celebration adhered to the traditional format typical of many of Tenerife’s festivities, the parade in Arona was notably marked by a significant number of tourists enjoying the spectacle as onlookers.
