Princess Leonor Arrives Aboard the ‘Juan Sebastián de Elcano’ Amidst Sails

The pungent aroma of gunpowder and the thunderous roar of cannon fire unleashed by the members of the Historical Cultural Association La Gesta on July 25, 1797, early yesterday morning at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Dock heralded the arrival of the Juan Sebastián de Elcano school ship, which started to navigate through the dock under the protection of the Civil Guard.
