The Municipal Socialist Group criticizes the return of 77,814 euros of a subsidy of 219,202 euros granted by the Government of the Canary Islands for the 2020 Employment Plan. The municipal spokesperson, Olivia Delgado, reproaches the mayor for this circumstance with a contribution “destined directly to people in vulnerable situations ”. For the PSOE councilor, the return of this money is a “scandal.”
The local government explains that this amount corresponds to the three months of confinement, a period in which “this money could not be hired or used due to an exceptional situation”; with the proportional amount of the withdrawals that affected plan beneficiaries and with the money not used during the process to adapt the profile of the position to be covered to the job demand when the one initially proposed does not exist.
