“Third Prize 66777 of Lotería del Niño Celebrated in the Canary Islands”

The number 66777, awarded the thirdChildren’s Lottery prize 2025, has emerged in the Canary Islands. This number carries a prize of 250,000 euros per series and 25,000 euros for each tenth. At 11:14 am local time in the State Lottery and Betting Drawing Room, where the Christmas Giveaway takes place, the children from the San Ildefonso school announced this award, which can be viewed live on THE PROVINCE. Find out here if you have won with any of your tickets.

A multitude of prizes were distributed in the Canary Islands. The winning number was sold in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria at places like Los Alisios Shopping Centre, La Ballena Shopping Centre, 7 Palmas Shopping Centre, Triana Street, and Rafael Cabrera, as well as in Arucas, Vecindario, and San Isidro in Gáldar. In addition, it was sold in Lanzarote in Yaiza and Reef. Meanwhile, in Tenerife, it was available at Meridiano Shopping Centre in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Las Chafiras, Santiago del Teide, Los Realejos, Arico, La Laguna, Güímar, San Ursula, La Orotava, Arona, Frutas de la Pasión, Icod, and at the administration of Los Rodeos Airport. In La Gomera, it was awarded in Alajeró and in La Palma in Breña Alta.

In the Canary Islands, the average expenditure per resident on tickets for this draw was 13.38 euros. As per the data released by the State Lottery and Betting Society (SELAE), the anticipated sales in the region are expected to total 29.4 million euros, reinforcing the engagement of the islanders in this annual event.

Children’s Lottery

The exceptional draw of ‘The Child’, which is celebrated this Monday on Three Kings’ Day, is the second most significant of the National Lottery, distributing 770 million euros this year, with a top prize of two million per series (200,000 euros for each tenth).

This draw’s second prize is worth 750,000 euros per series (75,000 euros per tenth), while the third prize is valued at 250,000 euros per series (25,000 euros per tenth).

The total prize pool amounts to 1.1 billion euros, with 70% allocated for prizes.

‘The Child’ event will commence at 12 noon in the State Lottery and Betting drawing room, adopting the traditional multiple drum system for the draw.

In contrast to the Christmas lottery, this event generates less anticipation as it follows a predefined script lasting approximately half an hour.

This year, a total of 874,231,600 euros has been recorded, averaging 18.20 euros per inhabitant. This figure is significantly surpassed in Asturias (30.20 euros), Castilla y León (28.89 euros), La Rioja (26.01 euros), Valencian Community (25.17 euros), and Basque Country (23.22 euros).

The average expenditure for this year (18.20 euros) is slightly above last year’s average of 17.97 euros.

Conversely, the lowest lottery ticket purchases occur in the autonomous cities of Ceuta (3.53 euros) and Melilla (5.32 euros), followed by Balearic Islands (9.59 euros), Catalonia (13.02 euros), Navarre (13.23 euros), and Canary Islands (13.38 euros).

However, the final sales figures will only be confirmed shortly before the draw begins, when the various administrations provide updates on the tickets sold and those returned to the federal agency.

The digit zero has appeared most frequently as a winning ending for the top prize (22 instances), followed by 7 (14 times), 4 (13 times), 9 (13 times), 5 (12 times), 2 (11 times), and 6 (10 times).

This draw was first introduced in 1941, and due to its success, it was transformed into a special lottery the following year.
