Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East have now arrived in San Cristóbal de La Laguna. Melchior, Gaspar , and Balthazar were welcomed this morning in the municipal Plenary Hall, where they inscribed their names in the Consistory’s book of honour. The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, along with several members of the Corporation, took the lead in greeting the key figures of this day of joy.
Following this formal reception, The Kings and their entourage of royal pages embarked on a new procession along Obispo Rey Redondo Street towards La Concepción Plaza, collecting letters from the throngs of children who had already gathered in the historic heart of the city.
Subsequently, Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar ascended to the balconies of La Concepción tower to wave to the gathered crowd and received the magical keys to the city from the mayor, which will allow them access to homes in the lagoon tomorrow morning to distribute gifts.

The festivities will continue this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. with the customary worship service in the Royal Sanctuary of Christ. An hour later, the main event of this Three Kings Day will take place, as the Royal Parade sets off through the streets of the city. This year, a route that has not been traversed since 1989 will be reinstated.
Nine floats and over 500 participants will be involved in the procession, including extras, royal pages, elves, children’s characters, superheroes, troupes, dance groups, brass bands, musical ensembles, stilt walkers, jugglers, and numerous other well-known symbols of the festive season.

Once again, a designated PMR area has been established in Plaza del Adelantado for those with reduced mobility. Additionally, a segment of the parade route will be designated as a quiet zone (Nava and Grimón Street, from Plaza del Cristo to Pedro Pinto de la Rosa Street) to enhance the experience for individuals with autism spectrum disorder or other sensitivities.
