The Three Wise Men are set to arrive at 5:00 p.m. this Sunday, January 5, at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where they will be welcomed by approximately 18,000 children along with a performance by Cantajuegos.

According to a statement from the City Council, the Parade will commence at 7:00 p.m., starting from Belgium Avenue and proceeding through Plaza de la República Dominicana, Avenida de La Asunción, Ramón y Cajal streets, Galcerán, Plaza Weyler, Méndez Núñez, Pilar, Villalba Hervás, La Marina, and La Candelaria square.

In light of the festivities planned for the welcoming and the subsequent parade of the Three Wise Men, there will be parking prohibitions and partial road closures to facilitate this traditional event.

A police presence of approximately 70 officers, in addition to health and Civil Protection personnel, will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the parade and managing the necessary traffic modifications for the smooth running of the celebration.

PARKING RESTRICTIONS

The initial parking restrictions will come into effect from midnight on Sunday, impacting Madrid Avenue, between Unamuno Street and Belgium Avenue; Robayna Street; both sides of Ramón y Cajal, from Castro Street to Benavides; along with Duggi and Fernando Barajas Prat street.

From 12:00 p.m., this prohibition will be extended to Heliodoro Rodríguez López Street and a section of Belgium Avenue, from Luis de la Cruz Street to the Dominican Republic.

At 1:00 p.m., the parking ban will also be enforced in Ramón y Cajal, from Benavides to Alfaro Street. The last segment of the parking prohibition will start at 4:00 p.m., affecting La Marina Street, Villalba Hervás, and Marítima Avenue, between Francisco La Roche Avenue and Plaza de España.

The City Council has reminded the public that once these restrictions are in place, it will be essential to commence the removal of vehicles still parked in those areas. Therefore, the Local Police advise adherence to the timings of the temporary signage already set up in the city for this event.

TRAFFIC CLOSURES

Concerning road closures, they will begin at 3:00 p.m. on a section of Belgium Avenue to position the floats that will take part in the parade.

Simultaneously, it is anticipated that San Sebastián Avenue and Heliodoro Rodríguez López Street will be closed due to the expected large influx of attendees at the reception of the Three Wise Men in the capital’s stadium.

The Local Police will begin to obstruct traffic around 4:30 p.m., from Asuncionistas Avenue to Plaza de La Paz.

Lastly, as the start time of the parade approaches, the streets impacted by the route and adjacent roads will be progressively closed.
