The Cabildo has enabled 32,000 vouchers since yesterday for purchases in small businesses and hotels. The insular counselor for Employment and Socioeconomic Development, Carmen Luz Baso, highlights in this regard that “this initiative represents an important support to the commercial revitalization of the island’s municipalities, since those who acquire them obtain a voucher for twice what they pay ».
A total of 32,133 bonds are expected to be issued, which can be purchased through the website www.bonotenerife.es, where the list of businesses adhering to the initiative is also available, which will be updated as new registrations occur.
Carmen Luz Baso, points out: «The objective of this action is to encourage sales, especially during the Christmas season and part of the sales, as well as to help boost the activity of one of the most important sectors in maintenance and job creation of work”.
The global budget is 385,000 euros and the island institution provides half of the financing
Baso explains that the program “is part of the actions promoted by the Cabildo so that small and medium-sized companies, more than 90% of the productive fabric of Tenerife, have tools to improve their competitiveness.”
Of note is the launch, in September, of a new line of subsidies amounting to 775,000 euros, aimed at improving the competitiveness of the retail trade, the catering sector and personal services for the year.
The period to exchange them, with a maximum of 10 euros per person, ends on January 16
The Tenerife Consumer Bonds program, managed through the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (Fifede), has a total budget of 385,000 euros, with which 12,854 bonds will be issued for hospitality establishments and 19,279 for retail businesses and service providers.
Value of 15 and 10 euros
Each hospitality voucher will have a value of 15 euros, while for retail businesses and service providers it will be 10. In both cases, the Cabildo will pay fifty percent of the value, while the other half will correspond to the consumer. The period to acquire them will remain open until they are exhausted and the limit to exchange them ends on January 16.
Each person may acquire a maximum of ten in any type. The maximum number in the same establishment is two, so that the amount of the purchase receipt or invoice is equal to or greater than that of the voucher.
Consumers who purchase them, through the web www.bonotenerife.es, will receive in their email a link to a file (pdf) with a QR code that they can download to their mobile or print. This will be the one that the establishment will scan to validate the voucher.
