The southern region of Tenerife is getting ready to welcome the Three Wise Men from the East tomorrow with parades and various festive activities. In Arona, the most populous municipality in the area, the royal parade is set to commence at 6:30 p.m. at the roundabout on Avenida Juan Carlos I in Los Cristianos, proceeding along Ámsterdam Avenue and concluding, as tradition dictates, outside the cultural centre of Los Cristianos, in the Plaza del Pescador, where Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar will gather letters from the children.

The route has changed from previous years, adhering strictly to safety protocols, which will enable families to enjoy the parade with enhanced comfort and peace of mind, according to the local council. They also emphasise the advantages of the earlier schedule.

ADEJE

Beginning at 4:45 p.m. tomorrow, the Adeje football stadium will open its gates for those who have previously purchased tickets via the Tomaticket platform. At 5:30 p.m., a children’s show starring Lúa and Aylah, Magic Locksmiths, the keepers of the magical key that unlocks all the homes in Adeje, will kick off. They will be joined by the Beanky Ballet and several well-known children’s characters. The most eagerly anticipated moment will be when Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar arrive by helicopter. Upon landing, they will stroll around the stadium, greeting the children. At 7:00 p.m., Calle Grande in the centre will be transformed into a vibrant parade filled with light, music, and colour, featuring children’s characters, royal postmen, a coal truck, and special assistance from Adeje volunteer firefighters. When they reach the Plaza de España, the nativity of Jesus will be depicted.

PASSION FRUIT

The Three Wise Men will arrive alongside their attendants, bearing gifts. At 5:30 p.m., following the offering to the baby Jesus at the church of San Antonio de Padua, the royal procession will commence in its floats, parading through the main streets of the town, with over 200 participants embodying beloved characters among children. Sweets suitable for diabetic children will be distributed, and a designated area for individuals with reduced mobility will be set up in the Los Hinojeros pavilion. There will also be a noise-free zone on part of the main street. Additionally, an inclusivity train will operate during the parade.

SAN MIGUEL

The enchanting procession will set off from the Church Square at 6:00 p.m., following the traditional offering to the baby Jesus in the municipality’s principal church, concluding at the Jonay Risco Pérez cultural sports centre. Young and old will gather in the streets of San Miguel to revel in a magical evening. The route will showcase animated and fantastical figures, acrobats, and musicians. At the conclusion of the parade, Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar will collect the children’s letters in the sports hall.

SANTIAGO DEL TEIDE

The Wise Men will visit the Arguayo cultural centre tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., and an hour later, they will make an appearance at the Tamaimo social centre.

The parade will commence at 6:00 p.m. on La Arena beach, proceeding through Puerto de Santiago and eventually concluding at the Plaza Buganvilla de Los Gigantes, where a “grand reception” is being arranged, according to the City Council. The procession will feature decorated floats and vehicles accompanied by characters from the Disney franchise.

ISORA GUIDE

The parade will showcase the talents of two local music bands, a live singer, two batucadas, local dance groups, and a cornet and drum band, along with numerous volunteers. The event will culminate in the town square, where children will have the opportunity to present their letters to Their Majesties of the East.

CANDELARIA

The Candelaria City Council has organised a comprehensive programme of activities, commencing at 5:00 p.m. with a dinosaur show on the stage at the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias. From 7:30 p.m., the Three Wise Men will parade from the Town Hall to the Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias, accompanied by the Almagec batucada, greeting all the children and collecting their letters and wishes.
