Guide to the Three Kings Parade in Tenerife: Timings and Routes

The most enchanting night of the year approaches, and the towns of Tenerife are gearing up to welcome their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East.

Here are the schedules and routes for all the parades set to take place on January 5, the eve of Three Kings’ Day, across the island.

La Laguna

The Three Wise Men will arrive in La Laguna at 12:00 p.m., commencing a parade with their royal entourage from Plaza del Adelantado to Torre de la Concepción, where the mayor and the municipal corporation will present them with the keys to the city. During the procession, letters will be collected, and there will also be activities for children in Plaza del Adelantado and the La Concepción area.

The parade will commence at 6:00 p.m. from Plaza del Cristo, travelling through the streets of Agua, Nava, and Grimón, Consistorio, Herradores, Plaza de La Concepción, then along Calle La Carrera, and back along Nava and Grimón streets to Plaza del Cristo. A noise-free zone will be established at the beginning of the parade, and a special area will be set aside for individuals with reduced mobility in Plaza del Adelantado.

Following the parade, around 9:30 p.m., the Sacramental Auto of the Three Wise Men will be presented in the Plaza of the Church of San Bartolomé de Tejina, which has been designated as a Site of Cultural Interest.

Holy Cross

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., Heliodoro Rodríguez López will greet their Majesties, who will arrive via royal helicopter, with the event being broadcast live on Channel 4 Television.

At 7:00 p.m., the parade will commence, journeying from Belgium Avenue to Plaza de la República Dominicana, Avenida Asuncionistas, Ramón y Cajal, Galcerán, and Plaza de Weyler, continuing along Méndez Núñez, El Pilar, Villalba Hervás, and La Marina until it concludes in La Candelaria square. There, their Majesties will perform the traditional act of adoration of the Child Jesus at the Nativity scene set up there.

The Canarian Television cameras will provide live coverage of the parade across the entire Archipelago.

Tegueste

The parade will depart at 7:00 p.m. from Casino Street, proceeding to San Marcos Square, where the traditional Auto Sacramental will take place.

Tacoronte

The delegation comprising Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar will set off from the vicinity of the Municipal Library at 7:00 p.m., travelling along the island highway TF-152 to Plaza de La Estación. Upon reaching the plaza near the Tourist Office, the sacramental auto of the Three Wise Men will be presented, followed by the collection of letters.

This magical journey will be enriched by the participation of historical figures, including King Herod, Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary, and her shepherds.

El Sauzal

At 7:00 p.m., the Great Three Kings Magical Parade will commence from the El Calvario neighbourhood, culminating at Plaza del Príncipe.

Two inclusive sections will be established: one noise-free area in Ronda Sauzalito (the first section between Presidente Paulino Rivero Baute Avenue and Las Palmeras Avenue) for individuals with functional diversity and/or those who experience ASD, and another reserved space for those with reduced mobility on Immaculate Conception Avenue (CADF road).

La Victoria

At 7:00 p.m., the Grand Parade of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East will proceed along Salazar Street, concluding at El Pinar Park, where an official reception and chocolate gathering will be held for everyone.

Saint Ursula

At 7:00 p.m., the grand parade of the Three Wise Men will follow the usual route, starting from Argelio Tabares Football Field, with a reception for their Majesties outside the City Hall.

Puerto de la Cruz

A special reception for the Kings of the East will take place at Castillo de San Felipe at 7:00 p.m. Half an hour later, at 7:30 p.m., the grand parade will begin, featuring a vibrant and joyous procession through the municipality’s streets (Luis Lavaggi, Blas Pérez González, José María del Campo Llarena, San Felipe, Plaza del Charco, La Marina, Santo Domingo, and Quintana Street).

Los Realejos

At 6:30 p.m., the parade will depart from Reyes Católicos Street to Avenida de los Remedios in Realejo Alto, passing through San Agustín, Realejo Bajo, Barroso, and Tigaiga, where the traditional adoration of the baby Jesus will occur at his Hermitage.

La Orotava

The arrival of the Three Wise Men in La Orotava is set for 4:00 p.m. at Plaza de San Juan. Prior to this, they will tour the streets: Avda. Obispo Benítez de Lugo, Avda. de Canarias, Calvario, Puente Escultor Estévez, Carrera, San Francisco, Salazar, Pescote, Dtor. González García, La Candelaria, Domingo Hernández, Goya, Zurbarán, La Cancela, Pescote, Dtor. Gonzalez. García, Plaza la Piedad, Rómulo Bethencourt, and Plaza de San Juan.

The parade will start at 8:00 p.m. on Avenida Mercedes Pinto and continue along Avenida Canarias, Calle Calvario, the Puente and Carrera Escultor Estévez, arriving at Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where the Birth and Adoration of the Child will be presented in a Living Nativity scene.

La Guancha

The grand Three Kings Parade will commence at 7:00 p.m. from the intersection between El Castillo and Dr. Fleming streets, continuing along Hipólito Sinforiano Avenue and La Alhóndiga to the church square.

San Juan de la Rambla

At 6:00 p.m., the traditional parade in San José will begin, leaving from the La Estrella Contenta play centre, and travelling along the main highway of San José to the City Hall, proceeding through the shopping area until El Santo Street.

In San Juan (town), the parade is set for 7:30 p.m. along the usual route from La Cabaña towards the plaza, traversing the main streets of the town.

Icod de los Vinos

At 7:30 p.m. from La Centinela to Plaza Luis de León Huerta, the Great Parade of the Three Wise Men of the East will take place, accompanied by their court of honour. Upon arrival, there will be a reception by the Mayor, followed by a reading of the manifesto and the collection of letters.

Garachico

At 6:30 p.m., the traditional Three Kings Parade will depart from the town of Garachico, starting in the Las Cruces neighbourhood, while the parade from La Caleta de Interián will begin at 8:30 p.m. from the football field.

Los Silos

The Three Wise Men will arrive by helicopter at 5:30 p.m. and will leave from Aregume Sports Centre at 8:30 p.m. for the Parade that will traverse the main streets of the town.

Buenavista

Commencing at 7:00 p.m., the grand Three Kings Parade will journey from Calle La Alhóndiga to the Church of Los Remedios, where they will present offerings and collect the final letters on the main stage.

El Rosario

The Great Parade of Hope will set off at 4:00 p.m. from Maximino Bacallado Rodríguez Street, travelling along La Sardinera Street to conclude in front of the City Hall building.

Candelaria

In Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias, a wide variety of activities and shows are expected to culminate in the much-anticipated arrival of the Three Wise Men at 8:15 p.m.

Arafo

At 5:00 p.m., there will be a reception for the Three Wise Men at Blas Reyes Football Field with free entry until full capacity is reached. The Parade will commence at 7:00 p.m.

Güímar

At 4:00 p.m., Their Majesties will be welcomed at the Tasagaya field.

Fasnia

From 4:00 p.m., there will be letter deliveries and horse riding, departing from Los Roques. This will cover Lomo La Tose street, La Zarza, La Sabina Alta, La Sombrera, Cruz del Roque, Las Eras, the pathway of the stones, and conclude in the town of Fasnia at the Plaza de la Iglesia.

Arico

The municipality is set to host the Grand Parade, commencing at 6:00 p.m. from the El Calvario hermitage, moving towards Benítez de Lugo street.

Granadilla

Beginning at 5:00 p.m., Their Majesties The Three Wise Men of the East will arrive. Following this, a Grand Parade will take place through the streets of Granadilla towards the Los Hinojeros Sports Pavilion, where the final letters can be handed in.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Three Wise Men will embark on a journey through the main streets in their royal floats as part of the Grand Parade. This year’s event will once again include sweets catering for diabetic children, a designated area for individuals with reduced mobility (PMR) at the Los Hinojeros municipal pavilion, an inclusivity train accompanying the Parade, and a noise-free zone providing enhanced visibility on the main street.

For the first time, the Cavalcade train will transport individuals with disabilities to enjoy the festivities, and sweets suitable for diabetic children will be distributed in the pavilion.

San Miguel

The event is set to depart at 6:30 p.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesia, winding through the town’s streets. The route will conclude at the “Óscar González” municipal sports centre, where the Three Wise Men will gather letters from all the boys and girls in the area.

Vilaflor

At 6:30 p.m., Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar will be welcomed at the Culture and Recreation Centre on April 25.

Arona

At 8:00 p.m., Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East are expected to arrive at the Old Pier of Los Cristianos. This will be followed by a promenade along Av. Espigón Benchijigua, Av. Sweden, and Barranquillo Street (in the section between Avenida Sweden and Los Playeros Avenue), continuing along Los Playeros Avenue to Amsterdam Avenue and arriving at the Plaza del Pescador, located outside the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre.

Adeje

At 5:30 p.m., the Three Wise Men will be received on the football pitch, and at 7:00 p.m., a Grand Parade will take place from Calle Grande to Plaza de España.

Guía de Isora

At 6:00 p.m., Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East will be welcomed in the Plaza de Chío for the children to deliver their letters. The Parade will set off at 7:00 p.m. from Calle del Campo to Plaza Nuestra Señora de La Luz. Upon arrival, there will be a drone display and a performance by Mario Falero, a participant from La Voz Kids.

Santiago del Teide

Their Majesties are scheduled to visit the Arguayo Cultural Centre at 4:00 p.m. and the Tamaimo Social Centre at 5:00 p.m. The Grand Parade of the Three Wise Men will journey through various locations starting at 6:00 p.m.: Playa de la Arena, Puerto de Santiago, concluding at the Plaza Buganvilla de Los Gigantes, where a grand reception will be held for the Three Wise Men.
