All preparations are complete in Granadilla de Abona to welcome Their Majesties the Three Wise Men from the East this upcoming Sunday, January 5. They will be arriving with their attendants, laden with presents for every boy and girl. The festivities, filled with magic and wonder, are set to commence in the early afternoon, with numerous surprises arranged by the Department of Culture and Festivals of the Granadilla de Abona City Council, led by Francisco Socas Díaz, alongside the cooperation of the Local Police, Sermugran personnel, and Civil Protection.

At 5:30 p.m., following the offering to the baby Jesus at the Church of San Antonio de Padua, the Three Wise Men will commence their procession on gilded floats through the principal streets of the town. More than 200 participants, including well-known youngsters and various musical groups, such as Correos, are anticipated to take part. This year’s event will once again provide treats suitable for diabetic children, an accessible area for individuals with reduced mobility (PMR) at the municipal pavilion of Los Hinojeros, an inclusivity train accompanying the Parade, as well as a designated quiet space adapted for greater visibility on the main street.

The City Council appeals to the public for cooperation to ensure the smooth running of the event, which generates a unique sense of excitement and anticipation. Attendees are encouraged to heed the guidance of the security personnel deployed for the occasion, which will consist of nearly 50 officers. Furthermore, a brochure detailing security measures will be distributed at the municipal pavilion.

Here, Their Majesties will be presented with the magical keys that unlock all homes by the mayor of Granadilla de Abona, Jennifer Miranda, enabling the royal procession to deliver their gifts. Additionally, young attendees and anyone else wishing to do so will have the opportunity to hand over their letters. The local leader emphasises that meticulous efforts have been made to ensure that this day unfolds with enchantment and delight for all. Alongside the Parade and the reception ceremony for Their Majesties, this event marks the conclusion of a Christmas programme dedicated to creating countless opportunities for dreams and joy within this festive narrative in Granadilla de Abona.
