A canoe carrying 65 migrants arrived late on Thursday afternoon directly at Playa de Las Américas, situated within the municipality of Arona (Tenerife), as reported by the Red Cross.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (Cecoes) 112 was responsible for notifying authorities about the presence of an irregular vessel along the shoreline, prompting the activation of health services.
Health services provided assistance to all 65 individuals, with nine needing to be transported to a hospital due to dehydration and hypothermia.
