Revised Safety Guidelines Transform Los Cristianos’ Three Wise Men Parade

The Grand Parade of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men of the East will take place in Los Cristianos this coming Sunday at a new time and along a revised route. This adjustment has been made with a strict focus on safety, enabling families to enjoy the parade with enhanced comfort and peace of mind. The earlier start time will also be advantageous for the Commercial Area, as it encourages increased business activity on this special day for retailers.

Arona City Council, through its Security and Festivities departments, has prepared a splendid day. The procession of floats featuring the royal entourage will commence at 6:30 p.m. from the roundabout on Avenida Juan Carlos I (by Apartamentos Comodoro), proceeding along this road and Avenida Ámsterdam, ultimately concluding, as tradition dictates, outside the Los Cristianos Cultural Centre (Plaza del Pescador), where Their Majesties the Three Wise Men will engage in the customary collection of letters from children.

Alexis Gómez, Councillor for Security and Festivals, explained that “this decision has been made for the benefit of the children. Firstly, we have heeded the feedback and requests from families about the late conclusion of the parade, thus prompting an earlier start time, particularly considering the little ones. Additionally, the revised route is more appropriate for the parade’s current scale, given the number of spectators and participants. We must adapt to the circumstances and, above all, ensure the safety of all attendees.” In this regard, members of the Arona Local Police, ADAE Civil Protection, and health services will implement a special operation for the Parade.

The day on Sunday will begin at 10:00 a.m. with the ‘Three Kings’ Children’s Morning’, featuring bouncy castles, workshops, and various surprises. This event will take place in the Plaza del Santísimo Cristo de la Salud and Carmen Pérez Moya street, both situated in Arona Casco.

At 12:00 p.m., the reception of Their Majesties the Three Wise Men by local authorities is set to occur, alongside the presentation of the magical keys for the homes of the children of Arona. This event will also be held in the Plaza del Santísimo Cristo de la Salud in Arona Casco.
