The San Roquito Lottery Administration, situated at number 22 Esteban de Ponte Street in Garachico, has sold a segment of a fourth prize, awarded with the number 77,768 in the Extraordinary Draw of the Christmas Lottery 2024. This prize is valued at 200,000 euros and was extensively distributed, reaching various towns across Tenerife.
David Soler, one of the proprietors alongside his father, Rafael, is unaware of how many individuals have benefited or their identities, as none have come forward as of yesterday. However, according to the Lottery consignment list and State Betting, it corresponds to only one tenth. “There are those who are celebrating, but others are more discreet and choose to remain silent,” David explains. Moreover, since the ticket was purchased through the terminal, the fortune may not necessarily remain in the municipality and could instead belong to any tourist who happened to be visiting.
This is not the first instance where this administration in the Town and Port has distributed a significant prize. Their history of success commenced in 1992 with a fifth prize; this was followed in 1999 by the first El Niño with the number 33,638; a fourth Christmas prize in 2003; the El Gordo in 2010, with number 79,250; a fifth prize in 2016 and now, yet another fourth prize yesterday.
The administration has a legacy spanning 38 years, having opened its doors in September 1986. Six years later, in 1992, it awarded its first prize, with several more following thereafter.
The adjacent town of Icod de los Vinos also shared the same winning number, although in this instance it consisted of two tenths: one in administration 67,325, located at number 44 Canarina Street, and the other tenth in administration 67,400, situated at Príncipes de España 77.
