Earlier today, the Civil Guard discovered a cadaver in a significantly decomposed state off the shores of Puertito de Güímar, situated in Tenerife.
According to information from the Civil Guard received by EFE, the deceased was located by a patrol unit following a request for assistance from the Local Police to recover the body and after being alerted by a member of the public.
Officers from the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police have assumed responsibility for the investigation and have initiated proceedings into the matter.
