Dácil finds the magical clockmaker who stops time in a dream world called Brillantia where wishes come true. “Christmas is here,” the narrator remembers when it suddenly starts to snow in the Plaza del Cabildoin the heart of a Santa Cruz crowded with people and with the headquarters building of the insular Corporation illuminated by colored stars, trees, streamers, evocative geometric shapes…

Last night, hundreds of people enjoyed the show Illusions of Christmas for the first time, a musical starring a girl with a story very typical of these dates and images made with the videomapping technique projected on the Town Hall building.

A creation with 100% Canarian talent, created and directed by Enrique Camacho, from the Encaro Factory company, with the collaboration of a dozen other island companies. The show is based on Christmas values – generosity, family, enthusiasm… – and becomes a pioneering, technological and artistic attraction with multiple collaborations – among them the singers Julia Debis and Chago Melián in the roles of Dácil and the watchmaker magical – among the multiple activities that the capital offers these holidays.

The president of the Canarian Government, Fernando Clavijo, the president of the Cabildo, Rosa Dávila, and the mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, gave way to a premiere that dazzled those present and impregnated them even more with a Christmas spirit that beats more than ever in Santa Cruz. And more in one space, the Plaza del Cabildo, animated this year with a village with crafts, sweets, nougat and the forests of mailboxes and wishes. In the midst of a rain of lights and enveloping music—thanks to the effects of the show, which even used a spray to simulate snow—Dácil found generosity in the magical clock that gives everything.
