A paraglider sustained serious injuries on Tuesday afternoon following a fall on the Juan Fu road, situated in the Tenerife municipality of Güímar, as reported by 112 Canarias.
The Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (Cecoes) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received a call for medical assistance at approximately 5:30 p.m. regarding a paraglider who had encountered a fall in the area.
The 1 1 2 promptly activated the necessary emergency services.
Firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium located the individual in distress, executed a rescue operation and conveyed him to the medical resources that were dispatched.
Personnel from SUC evaluated and provided aid to the injured man, who was suffering from severe abdominal trauma, necessitating his transfer by medical ambulance to La Candelaria hospital.
The Local Police supported the ongoing efforts and oversaw the necessary proceedings.
