The mural supporting the Palestinian community, situated on the outer wall of the Manolo Santaella sports centre in Puerto de la Cruz, was vandalised in the early hours of Monday. Created by Portuguese artist Alexander Carballo, the artwork was found covered with blue graffiti and phrases that were disrespectful and opposed to the original message of peace and unity that the BDS Association and the Department of Participation intended to commemorate during the unveiling of the piece, which took place on 4th November.
