Tenerife Faces Impact of Storm Dorothea: Fires and Collapsed Structures

Storm Dorothea has struck the Canary Islands this past weekend, bringing with it hurricane-strength wind gusts that have resulted in various damages, primarily impacting the western islands. La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, and Tenerife were placed on maximum alert due to the winds, with some of these islands reaching a red level of caution. In certain areas of Tenerife, gusts exceeding 200 km/h have been recorded.
