The Plaza de San Marcos, located in Tegueste, will host the VI Christmas Crafts Fair this weekend, taking place from December 13 to 15. “This event will establish a new exclusive sales point for artisans and a remarkable opportunity for visitors to acquire unique artisan products right in the heart of the municipality,” stated the Tegueste City Council in a press release. The Minister of Employment and Education for the Cabildo of Tenerife, Efraín Medina, attended the presentation, alongside the mayor of Tegueste, Ana Mena, and the Festival Councillor, Eladia López.

The Fair will showcase the talents of 40 artisans, who will exhibit a diverse array of products spanning multiple craft forms, including embroidery, lacework, pottery, macramé, crochet, doll-making, and carpentry. Each item not only boasts an extraordinary design but also carries a story that highlights the creativity and dedication of our artisans.

The initiative will be available today, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with tomorrow’s opening from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event features 53 craft stalls, food trucks, live music, children’s workshops, and various exhibitions, among other family-oriented activities. Furthermore, it receives support and funding from the Cabildo of Tenerife as well as the Government of the Canary Islands through the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and Self-Employment.

Mayor Ana Rosa Mena noted that the fair has become an important event within Tegueste’s Christmas festivities. Meanwhile, Councillor Eladia López expressed her gratitude for the collaboration and engagement of all participating artists, groups, and organisations.

Efraín Medina, the Employment Councillor from the Cabildo of Tenerife, remarked that “Tegueste holds significant stature due to its rich artisan heritage and capability to provide suitable facilities, enabling artisans to seize new opportunities.”

Individuals eager to learn more about the Christmas programme can follow this link or request a programme at the City Hall or any business within the municipality: https://lc.cx/wj7bXu.
