The incorporation of a dozen officers increases the workforce to 110 police officers

In the event, which coincides with the commemoration of the patron saint of the body, the management report was read, the retired officers received their recognition and the mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, publicly highlighted the group of policemen who stood out in the service of its services for the benefit of citizens.

The management report reflects that during the last year almost 1,500 minutes have been registered for infractions or breaches of ordinances or regulations, about 643 more than the last year. Likewise, the document highlights citizen awareness, ensuring that the participation of the public has been fundamental in different procedures such as complaints, application of ordinances and compliance with regulations, among others.

Mayor, José Miguel Rodríguez, highlighted the role of citizens, health personnel, volunteers, Civil Guard, National Police, Autonomous Police and the Local Police of Adeje, «Who from minute zero and without an instruction manual knew how to act before the covid-19». The Councilor for Security, Mercedes Vargas, assured that “we must work to be a local police” and announced that “shortly we will be attending the call for new positions of command and police officers, which will allow to continue increasing the organic structure of the Local Police ».

In the chapter on recognitions for their actions during the pandemic, in addition to the collective congratulations, agents Adal Luis Morales and Óliver González Luis were especially so, “for their meritorious service related to the disappearance of a citizen.” The mayor was also recognized by Lucía Alba Caro, Luis Alfredo Walo Santos and Joana Barroso León, agents who “acted with great professionalism, rigor and willingness to serve in the disappearance of a citizen.” At the event, another 16 policemen received recognition medals “for their permanence in active service.”

The mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, made an appeal to the entire staff of the Local Police: «We have traveled a path together, we have learned together and we will continue to attend to the new circumstances. So, I encourage you to fulfill and continue with this commitment to continue caring for people, who are the fundamental wealth of any people.
