SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE December 11 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Over 200 individuals have reached the La Restinga dock in El Pinar (El Hierro) during the night on Tuesday and the early hours of Wednesday, with reports indicating that six individuals have lost their lives, as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre 112 of the Canary Islands.
One of the vessels arrived at the dock under its own propulsion, confirming the health emergency response in the area due to the deaths of four individuals, while a fifth succumbed following a cardiac arrest.
In the three additional boats intercepted by Maritime Rescue, there was another deceased individual.
Presently, the security and health response in the region remains activated.
