This Tuesday, Tegueste Town Hall unveiled the VI Christmas Craft Fair, scheduled to take place from December 13 to 15 in Plaza San Marcos, Tegueste. This event will introduce a new exclusive sales point for artisans, providing a wonderful chance for visitors to purchase handmade products in the very heart of the municipality. The Minister for Employment and Education, Efraín Medina, the Mayor of Tegueste, Ana Mena, and the Festival Councillor, Eladia López, were all present at the announcement.
The fair will showcase the talents of 40 artisans, presenting a diverse range of items that encompass various craft techniques, including embroidery, cutwork, pottery, macramé, crochet, doll making, carpentry, and more. Each creation not only boasts an exquisite design but also carries a narrative that embodies the creativity and dedication of our artisans.
Mayor Ana Rosa Mena emphasised that the fair has become a significant event within Tegueste’s Christmas calendar. “This occasion provides a unique opportunity to support our local artisans, promote the consumption of native products, and, of course, enhance our local economy. It serves as a clear example of how such an event can act as a catalyst for economic growth in our municipality,” she stated.
Furthermore, she underscored that events like this reflect Tegueste’s commitment to the promotion of culture, crafts, and the establishment of enjoyable spaces for both residents and visitors alike.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all the collaborators and, undoubtedly, to the Cabildo of Tenerife and the Government of the Canary Islands for their continued support in enhancing these events and making them more special,” she added.
The Employment Councillor of the Island Council, Efrain Medina, who was also present at the launch, stated that “Tegueste stands out as a municipality of great importance due to its rich artisan heritage and its capacity to provide suitable facilities, allowing artisans to seize new opportunities.”
The event will feature 53 craft stalls, food trucks, live entertainment, children’s workshops, and various exhibitions, among many other activities designed for the entire family. Additionally, it is backed by the support and funding from the Cabildo of Tenerife and the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Ministry of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and the Self-Employed.
