A 36-year-old man has tragically lost his life following a road incident on the Carretera General del Norte, in the vicinity of the San Lázaro area within the municipality of La Laguna (Tenerife), as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (112) of the Canary Islands.
The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon, prompting the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) to dispatch personnel to the scene, who could merely confirm the death of the individual due to the critical nature of his injuries.
Additionally, SUC personnel provided assistance to the driver of the vehicle implicated in the incident, a 63-year-old man. He required extrication by the Tenerife firefighters and received treatment for minor injuries; however, due to some complications, he was subsequently transported by ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
Officers from the Civil Guard also attended the site to compile the necessary report, while members of the Local Police collaborated with other emergency services present.
