The Centro-Ifara district in Santa Cruz de Tenerife has initiated the campaign “Christmas starts on La Rosa Street”, aimed at encouraging shopping in this commercial area throughout the festive season, while renovation work continues in the vicinity.

Among the actions planned, the distribution of one thousand fabric bags (talegas) to shoppers who make purchases at local stores stands out, which will occur on the 5th at a tent set up in the area.

Additionally, a tent will be established for the wrapping of Christmas gifts, which will be operational in the upcoming weeks.

To ease customer access, 1,000 complimentary parking vouchers, each valid for one hour, will be given out at the Ramón y Cajal extension car park, and an informational display featuring a map of the street’s shops will be installed.

The Zona Centro Santa Cruz association will also take part in the campaign, suspending fees for its members and providing a six-month grace period for new entrants. Moreover, the Telpark company has cooperated by supplying parking spaces for shoppers.

Furthermore, CaixaBank is supporting the initiative with a financial aid programme that incorporates waived commissions for the use of payment terminals over six months and the establishment of a preferential credit line for businesses on La Rosa Street.

These initiatives form part of a broader programme aimed at supporting local trade in the area, particularly impacted by the ongoing renovation works, and facilitating shopping during one of the year’s busiest retail periods.
