In the early hours of the morning, officers from the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife apprehended two individuals who had just unlawfully entered one of the kiosks situated on Las Teresitas beach and were in the process of transporting nearly thirty bottles of various alcoholic drinks. The apprehended individuals were identified as JPP, aged 19, and FCBM, aged 35.
At 2:00 a.m., a notification was received in the Local Police Communications Room regarding an alarm triggered at one of the kiosks on Las Teresitas beach. A police patrol swiftly responded to the scene, and upon arrival, the officers noticed two men carrying a container. Both suspects, upon noticing the police presence, attempted to conceal themselves and subsequently fled on foot into the interior of the beach, with police in pursuit. They were eventually intercepted and detained near the building that once housed the old fishermen’s brotherhood restaurant.
Upon investigation of the container, it was discovered to contain thirty bottles of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. The officers contacted the kiosk owner to inform him of the incident. The manager confirmed that there were security camera recordings showing two hooded individuals entering the premises. A physical inspection revealed that an access door had been forcibly opened using a metal object.
The detainees were then taken to a health facility and later transferred to police headquarters, where they remained at the disposal of the relevant judicial authority.
