A man has sustained severe injuries after falling into the hard-to-reach area of Chinamada, located in San Cristóbal de La Laguna on the island of Tenerife, as stated by the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands.
The incident occurred on Monday afternoon, prompting the rescue helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) of the Canary Islands Government to be dispatched to the scene, where they evacuated the individual and provided initial medical assistance for transport to Tenerife North Airport.
Upon arrival, personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) confirmed that the victim had sustained serious multiple traumas and transported him in a medically-equipped ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.
Additionally, members of the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium attended the operation in the area, assisting in managing the situation.
