SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 16 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Cabildo of Tenerife, via the department of Natural Environment, Sustainability, Security and Emergencies, will host the VII Biodiversity Conference on Monday, November 18, and Tuesday the 19th, featuring 18 presentations aimed at evaluating the strengths and vulnerabilities of the island.

In a statement, the insular Corporation clarified that the conference will be held in the assembly hall of the Higher Polytechnic School of Engineering, within the Agricultural Engineering section at the University of La Laguna.

The event will commence at 9:00 a.m. with an opening address by the Minister for Natural Environment, Sustainability, Security and Emergencies, Blanca Pérez.

The sessions, which will unfold over two distinct work periods, will centre on the findings of the latest research on the island’s flora and fauna and will discuss recent developments concerning their strengths in the natural habitat and the primary threats facing native or endemic species in the region.

Lastly, the sessions are accessible to the public until the capacity of 300 attendees is reached, and those interested can register via the link www.jornadasdebiodiversidad.es.
