It is co-financed by the Los Realejos Town Hall (20%) and the Cabildo (80%) of the 47,755.52 euros allocated to it.
“It is about aid aimed at addressing the state and situation of need in which family units with few resources are found and that these are insufficient to face urgent needs in the rehabilitation of housing”, explains the mayor of Los Realejos, Manuel Domínguez. The beneficiaries will use the amount received at the home of the family unit, “as long as they do not offer the minimum conditions of habitability,” explains the councilor.
Olga Jorge, Regional Councilor for Social Welfare, cites as an example of this type of action «those that totally or partially include improvements in accessibility, those that serve to guarantee the security of the property, with reinforcement or partial replacement of structural elements, or those that make effective adaptations to regulations in infrastructures such as water, gas, electricity or fire protection, among other issues ”.
Taking into account what happened in previous calls and more specifically, the councilor points out that It is about acting to correct incidents such as humidity and leaks or other unsanitary conditions, as well as the necessary elimination of architectural barriers in homes due to some disability or aging of the people who live in it ”. Olga Jorge specifies that the beneficiary families must comply with a series of requirements established in the bases, fundamentally of an economic nature due to low resources, with the corresponding technical report from the social workers, as well as the technical report of the house that values and determines the cited peremptory need for intervention in it.
Once the fulfillment of the established requirements has been verified and the report on the social situation of the applicant’s family unit has been issued, as well as the municipal technical report in relation to the concretion of the works to be carried out, an assessment of the applications will be carried out. for the purposes of forming a list ordered according to priority, having to comply, in any case, with all the requirements established for its concession and applicable regulations and in accordance with the criteria of socio-family situation, economic situation and state of most deficient conservation of the house to be rehabilitated.
Applications can be submitted until next January 4, either at the Citizen Information and Attention Point (PIAC) of the Los Realejos City Council or in the Social Work Units (UTS) of the area, through the social workers of the council, by standardized instance and with the remaining processing that so it is communicated to him, indicates the municipal government.
