SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE 12 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, Astrid Pérez, welcomed this Tuesday the representatives of the audiovisual association ‘La Plataforma de la Tele’, led by its president Luis Luque and vice president Santiago Gutiérrez, accompanied by their manager, Cuchi Jarque.
During their discussion, the leaders of this association, which represents over a dozen Canarian companies engaged in the production of television, film, and advertising content within the islands, presented to the president of the Chamber their proposal to collaborate in the development of the RTVC law.
“The Canarian Parliament serves as the legislative authority, and we believe this law should safeguard small and medium-sized Canarian producers while ensuring financial stability for this public service,” stated Luis Luque.
He further emphasized that “providing a diverse service, valuable to Canarian citizens and executed by local talent” is the primary goal of the association.
‘The Tele Platform’ unites several audiovisual production companies that deliver entertainment and cultural content to the public entity of Radiotelevisión Canaria.
In response, Astrid Pérez expressed her interest in fostering quality Canarian content with local production firms, which “creates job opportunities and diversifies the economy within the audiovisual sector of the islands.”
