The president of the Cabildo of Tenerife, Rosa Dávila, disclosed on Friday that from January, tourist coaches will no longer be allowed to enter the Anaga massif, aiming to enhance mobility and access to this natural area.
This declaration was made during an extraordinary plenary session, where she mentioned that “it is a measure long awaited by the community” and that it will also coincide with the development, in partnership with the La Laguna City Council, of a deterrent car park in the Las Canteras area.
She revealed that this will be a preliminary move to enhance mobility in the region and will ultimately lead, in the medium term, to “restricting and limiting” access for private vehicles, encouraging visitors to reach Anaga via shuttle buses in conjunction with park-and-ride facilities.
