As Halloween approaches, the Local Police of San Cristóbal de La Laguna has taken to social media to share a number of recommendations for youths in the area planning to go out on the evening of October 31. These guidelines aim to ensure that the night can be enjoyed safely, while avoiding any perilous situations or incidents.
Among the suggestions, the Local Police emphasises the significance of not venturing out alone. It is advised to always travel in a group or accompanied by an adult to minimise the risk of unforeseen encounters. This is particularly relevant for those wishing to partake in the traditional trick or treat activity that is widely celebrated during this time.
Additionally, for those opting to engage in this pastime, the Police caution against risks. They recommend never entering the homes of strangers under any circumstances. “Knock on the door and wait outside,” the advice stresses, aiming to avert unsafe scenarios for younger participants.
