The Santa Cruz de Tenerife Development Society is set to launch the Sunday Consumption Vouchers for sale tomorrow, October 31, which can be redeemed on November 3. This announcement was made by the mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, José Manuel Bermúdez, who noted that “throughout every weekend in October, our initiative ‘Hello, Sunday’ has proven successful. We now anticipate that this positive response will continue over the two upcoming weekends in November, transforming Santa Cruz into a hub of entertainment and local shopping once more.”

In a related statement, the CEO of the Development Society, Carmen Pérez, revealed that “for this Sunday, we will again offer 700 vouchers totalling 17,500 euros, which can be redeemed at 70 various businesses in Santa Cruz.” She also highlighted that “this represents our council’s commitment to stimulate the economy and promote shopping in our local establishments. As before, we will be selling vouchers valued at 25 euros, of which 7.50 are provided by the consumers and 17.50 by the city council, enabling shoppers to enjoy a 70% discount.”

“With the bridge being a major draw, we are confident that this first weekend of November, the vouchers will once again be sold out in mere minutes, further demonstrating the success of this initiative to foster economic activity,” she added.

“This Sunday, we will also enhance urban areas as we have previously done. Consequently, in both the Alameda Duque de Santa Elena square and Plaza del Príncipe, there will be two play zones featuring bouncy castles, workshops, and photo opportunities so that children can revel in these activities and experience a unique Halloween in our locality. At the Alameda play centre, youngsters will have the chance to partake in four diverse workshops from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and then again from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., including “Scary Storytelling,” “Accordion Ghosts,” “Terrifying Bracelets,” and “Chupa Chups Fantasma.” Simultaneously, the Plaza del Príncipe will offer workshops on tattoos, puppetry, chilling markers, and masks,” she highlighted.

Moreover, the main shopping streets will showcase several animations including a themed dynamism with four performances at 11:00, 13:00, 16:00, and 17:30. This action will be supplemented by Halloween parades traversing Castillo, Valentín Sanz, and Bethencourt Alonso streets to Alameda del Duque, featuring three shows at 10:30, 12:30, and 17:00.

On November 3, “Hello, Sunday” will be further enhanced by a commercial initiative ‘We Reward Your Purchases’, which allows Santa Cruz shoppers making purchases over 20 euros that day to enter a raffle for various prizes. This initiative has been developed in partnership with Zona Centro to further encourage shopping in that area. Tents will be set up in Alameda Duque Santa Elena and Plaza del Príncipe where shoppers can present their receipts and take part in the raffle for an array of products, whilst stocks last.

“Those wishing to explore our city can also take part this Sunday in a free guided tour focused on the events of July 25, 1797. Through a walking tour around the historic streets of Santa Cruz, participants will uncover some of the most significant facts from our history,” she concluded.

“Hello, Sunday” emerged from an inclusive process involving consultations with the sector. It is a project rooted in governance, inter-administrative and institutional collaboration, with a focus on supporting the sector, aiming to foster new strategies for the economic and commercial growth of Santa Cruz. This initiative is aligned with the Commerce Master Plan (axis 4 – Dynamization and Promotion of Consumption) and the Strategic Tourism Plan of the city (axis 3 – Product and Destination Marketing).

Individuals interested in acquiring “Sunday Consumption Vouchers” can do so this Thursday, October 31, starting at 10:00 a.m. on the website www.holadomingo.com, where they can also check the participating retail establishments. Each buyer may purchase a maximum of two vouchers weekly and six throughout the entire campaign.
