A woman suffered injuries this Wednesday morning due to moderate smoke inhalation following a fire at her residence in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The incident took place after 7:30 a.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Government of the Canary Islands received multiple calls reporting a fire in a flat within a four-storey building on Avenida de Añaza.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, which impacted the entire residence and partially affected the communal areas of the building.
The staff of the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) attended to two individuals, one with minor injuries, while the woman with moderate injuries was taken to La Candelaria Hospital.
The Local Police and the General Corps of the Canarian Police aided the on-site teams, while the National Police managed the subsequent inquiries.
