Canarian Coalition in the municipality of Tacoronte has demanded that the works of the El Pris fishing refuge be started immediately, works that the nationalists consider a priority for the municipality and for this sector. From the Nationalist Group in Parliament, at the proposal of the Tacoronte nationalists, an amendment has been presented to the Budgets of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands for 2022 for an amount of 650,000 euros to start the work “before the neglect of the Canary Government” .

The spokesperson for the Canary Islands Coalition in the Tacoronte City Council, Álvaro Dávila, thanks the Parliamentary group of CC-PNC-AHÍ that “for the third consecutive year they have presented an amendment to the regional budgets so that in 2022 so that the works of the El Pris fishing refuge in the face of the manifest neglect of the Canarian Government, which for the third consecutive year has forgotten about this very important infrastructure ».

The nationalist mayor explains that the El Pris fishing refuge “is a work long demanded by the fishermen of the coastal neighborhood of Tacoronte, which in the 2015-2019 term the government of the Canary Islands Coalition put out to tender, although it was left deserted, as none were presented offer. Faced with this situation, the Puerto Canarios entity decided to improve the project in order to put it out to tender again and achieve what fishermen have been asking for for 50 years, “recalled Álvaro Dávila.

“Unfortunately,” added Dávila, “this Government of the Canary Islands has forgotten about Tacoronte despite the fact that the same parties as here govern, and in none of the three budgets presented so far have they included any item, having to present CC every year amendments to the budget. The first year they had the indecency to reject the amendment, the second they accepted it on the condition of a significant reduction (it went from 650,000 euros to 200,000 euros), although in the end they did not start the work.
