The Department of Mobility and Universal Accessibility at Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has established a minimum service of 80% for the lines of buses operating urban transport through Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife SA (TITSA), owing to the strike announced for this Monday.
In a release from the Mobility and Universal Accessibility division of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, it is stated that, following a request from TITSA, the 29 lines servicing the municipality, which transport over 930,000 passengers monthly, will experience a reduction in regular services from 179 to 134 on Monday.
From the area led by Evelyn Alonso, it is highlighted that there are parts of the municipality that lack alternative transport options apart from taxis, hence some lines will operate at 100% service provision. These include lines 909, 916, 917, 940, 944, 945, 946, 947, 971, and 975.
Regarding interurban transport, the Cabildo has set its minimum services at 75%, a figure that aligns with the standard established by La Laguna City Council for its urban transport.
