SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26th October (EUROPA PRESS) –
La Laguna commemorates the Day of the Dead and All Saints by once again presenting musical performances across all the cemeteries in the region. In light of these occasions, the cemeteries will extend their opening hours to accommodate the significant number of visitors who gather there.
The mayor of La Laguna, Luis Yeray Gutiérrez, highlighted the positive reception this musical initiative has received in prior years, “transforming this project into a distinctive feature of the Laguna cemeteries on a day deeply rooted in the community’s culture”.
The councillor in charge of Cemeteries, Cristina Ledesma, echoed these sentiments, noting that these musical performances will feature members from the various musical bands based in La Laguna.
From Monday, 28th October to Sunday, 3rd November, the cemeteries of San Luis, San Juan, San Gregorio in Punta del Hidalgo, Valle de Guerra, and Tejina will operate continuously from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On 31st October and 1st November, they will have extended hours from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with different groups providing musical entertainment on 1st November during both the morning and afternoon in the various cemeteries.
