Heroic Firefighters Save Injured Hunter After Ravine Plunge in Tenerife

Firefighters have rescued a hunter who sustained serious injuries after tumbling into a ravine in the municipality of La Orotava, Tenerife, according to the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 112 of the Canary Islands Government.

At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, a call was made to 112 to report that a hunter required medical assistance due to a fall into a ravine in the Benijos region.

The emergency services were mobilised, and health personnel assessed and treated the victim, who, once stabilised, was transported in serious condition by ambulance to the Canary Islands University Hospital.

Staff from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium worked alongside medical personnel to immobilise the injured individual and, following the rescue, they carried him on a stretcher to where the ambulance was stationed.
