Tenerife Trail Rescue: Woman Injured in Fall Successfully Saved

A 74-year-old woman was rescued on Sunday after experiencing a fall on a pathway in the Punta de Rasca region of the municipality of Arona, Tenerife.

The incident took place on the morning of Sunday, October 13, when the Emergency and Security Coordinating Centre (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Canary Islands Government received an alert reporting that a woman had fallen on a trail, required medical assistance, and was unable to continue her journey.

Upon initial examination, the injured individual displayed moderate trauma to her lower limb, with no complications observed.

Personnel from the Tenerife Firefighters Consortium attended the exact location where she was, provided her with first aid, and evacuated her on a stretcher to the area where a basic life support ambulance team from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was situated, who then proceeded to assist and transport her to the Hospital del Sur.

The Local Police worked in conjunction with the other emergency services involved.
