Yesterday, Plenilunio successfully concluded its 16th edition after a weekend filled with over a hundred activities that attracted thousands of participants. This was reported by the mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, who emphasised the positive response this year, noting that “according to preliminary data from the survey of Plenilunio visitors, 85% have rated the event with a 5 out of 6.”

As of yesterday, more than 370,000 attendees had been surveyed, but the president stated that “in the following days we will have the final results, although satisfaction with the proposed programming is already clear.”

Bermúdez also remarked that yesterday “the atmosphere was apparent from the very first hour, with the streets bustling with a significant crowd and where there was the incentive to redeem the Sunday Consumption Vouchers.” This initiative, recently introduced by the City Council, aims to stimulate economic activity on Sundays and will continue throughout October as well as on the first and third Sundays of November.

Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Development Society, mentioned, “of the 68 participating establishments, 45 redeemed at least one voucher before noon,” while Atmósfera Sport, Puntapié, and Rivoli reached the maximum limit of 1,000 euros.”

The data available up to that moment indicated that “approximately 15,700 euros had been exchanged,” a figure that represents 66.20% of the total,” the advisor highlighted. However, “in the forthcoming days, updated figures will be available at the end of each day, but it is already evident that it captured the interest of both citizens and the commercial community.”
