This weekend, over 15,000 individuals had the opportunity to partake in two invigorating days at the heart of the town centre: the major sales fair in Northern Tenerife, DiverSaldo, alongside a new culinary event, DiverFest. The latter unfolded from Friday afternoon through Saturday, operating from 10:00 AM until midnight. Featuring approximately twenty local businesses serving a diverse range of dishes crafted from local ingredients, attendees could also indulge in a variety of delectable pastries, as well as craft beers and wines from the area. Music played a central role, highlighted by live performances and a DJ’s entertaining sets. The event concluded with a concert by Ni un Pelo de Tonto. Additionally, there were games, workshops, and activities tailored for children, who had their own designated area.
DiverSaldo occurred throughout Saturday, engaging around seventy local enterprises that presented their out-of-season goods at discounted prices. This initiative, which merges leisure and enjoyment with commercial activity, once again took place along the main streets of the urban centre and the Plaza de la Constitución.
A comprehensive offering aimed at enhancing the weekend experience in La Orotava highlighted its resounding success. This event gained support from both the local commercial and business sectors, alongside residents and visitors, establishing it as a must-attend occasion.
DiverSaldo, a pioneering fair of its kind that has been hosted in the town since 2005, showcases an extensive selection of items at remarkably low prices including sports merchandise, assorted goods, jewellery, cosmetics, electronics, beauty products, computing items, toys, crafts, traditional costumes, pastries, textiles, footwear, fishing gear, optical products, stationery, hairdressing services, health and hardware supplies, accessories, watches, household items, decorations, children’s fashion, and second-hand treasures. There are also opportunities to discover offers related to real estate and pre-owned vehicles.
