The Cabildo has begun in Tegueste the meetings of the addiction prevention program Empápate 2021 that it wants to take to the 31 municipalities of the Island. The Minister of Social Action, Marián Franquet, highlights “these actions that encourage participation and help the population younger to understand the importance of drug use prevention and of acquiring healthy lifestyle habits ”.
The IASS has organized this first meeting of the project, integrated into the Insular Program for the Promotion of Health and Prevention of Drug Addiction and other Addictions. The main objective of this initiative is to prevent them through information and awareness-raising actions from health education.
The first appointment took place at the El Socorro Cultural Center, in Tegueste. The next ones will be held in Guía de Isora, on January 18, and in Santiago del Teide, on January 22.
