The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council launches this Friday the urban promotion initiative “Hello, Sunday” aimed at enhancing economic activity through revitalisation events and a specific consumer voucher scheme.
The programme will take place on every Sunday in October and the first and third Sundays of November, with the purpose of encouraging purchases during these times when businesses will be open.
From this Friday, the special edition of the Sunday shopping voucher will become available, with a budget of €100,000 allocated for commercial establishments situated in the High Tourist Area.
Beginning tomorrow, consumers will be able to acquire Sunday shopping vouchers via the website www.bonoconsumosantacruz.com, where they can also view the list of participating retail outlets.
How Sunday Shopping Vouchers Operate
The vouchers will have a total value of €25, with €7.50 contributed by the consumer and €17.50 funded by the City Council, allowing shoppers to make purchases worth €25 after paying €7.50.
As for the sale and redemption of Sunday Shopping Vouchers, these will be available for purchase on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Sundays, and can only be redeemed on designated Sundays at participating establishments.
Each individual may buy a maximum of two vouchers per week and up to six throughout the entire campaign.
This initiative coincides with the Full Moon Santa Cruz celebrations. Hence, the campaign will feature a programme of activities designed to create a lively atmosphere that promotes commercial vibrancy and economic engagement.
Consequently, this campaign will take place in October alongside significant events such as Plenilunio, the XVIII Clownbaret International Festival, the Canarias Surf Film Festival 2024, and the XXI International Comic and Illustration Exhibition of Tenerife. In November, it will align with the Halloween festivities and the X Tenerife Half Marathon on the 3rd and 17th, respectively.
