The City Council of El Sauzal approved in its ordinary plenary session in November the municipal budget for the year 2022, which increases by 183,000 euros compared to 2021 and reaches the figure of 9,435,000 euros. The accounts went ahead with the favorable vote of the seven councilors of the Canary Coalition, three abstentions of AISA-NC and three votes against the councilors of United Se Can, Popular Party and PSOE.

The main expenses of the City Council are divided into the item for personnel, which consumes 3,352,000 euros, and the one that finances the services and which accounts for the largest part of the expense: 4,968,379 euros. 885,000 euros are reserved for grants and subsidies. The Consistory will allocate a total of 167,992 euros to investments in works. A modest amount that is expected to grow with subsequent modifications.

For the government team of Mariano Pérez (CC), this budget “has been adapted to the current situation and tries to meet all the needs of the municipality and the demands of the Sauzalera population, especially in the social sphere.” He also considers it “adaptable due to the current situation”, since, according to Pérez, “it can be modified according to the needs that arise.”
