A specialised security and emergency initiative has been arranged for the Cristo celebrations in Tacoronte, involving close to one hundred personnel. The operation will be overseen by the Local Police and will feature the involvement of Civil Guard officers, Civil Protection, and the Canary Police, in addition to the technical team and medical staff from the security firm Austral Plus SL. During the most populated events, the police presence will be enhanced by the Citizen Security Unit of the Civil Guard (Usecic), which will also deploy several trained dogs to bolster the operation’s effectiveness at various strategic locations, particularly concerning the detection of illegal substances.
