Dramatic Dawn Rescue: 175 Migrants Saved from Cayuco Near El Hierro

VALVERDE (EL HIERRO), 5 Sep. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Maritime Rescue intercepted a cayuco carrying 175 migrants during the early hours of this morning while they were navigating in waters adjacent to the island of El Hierro.

As stated by the Emergency and Security Coordination Centre (Cecoes) 112, a maritime resource from the state agency transported the individuals aboard the irregular vessel to La Restinga Pier.

Upon arrival, the usual medical team for such incidents, comprised of Red Cross personnel and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC), was present to assist the migrants, all of whom appeared to be in good health.
