Intercity Transport of Tenerife (Titsa), a company of the Cabildo of Tenerife, has introduced a dedicated service to accommodate the needs of visitors keen to partake in the Descent of Socorro in Güímar.
The organisation aims to cater to the requirements of travellers and deliver top-notch service during one of the most popular festivals.
A special line has been established for this event, numbered 530, linking Güímar Station with El Socorro on the 7th and 8th of September.
On the day of the Virgin’s Descent, Saturday the 7th, line 530 will run from approximately 04:15 until 21:00. Similarly, on Sunday the 8th, which marks the Virgin’s Ascent, it will operate from 08:00 to 21:00.
Furthermore, line 120 (Santa Cruz de Tenerife Interchange – Caletillas Junction – Candelaria (Plaza de Teror) – Puertito de Güímar – Güímar Station) will have its services boosted between Puertito and Güímar from 05:00 to 09:00 on the 7th of September. On both the 7th and 8th, it will also pass through El Socorro in both directions.
In addition, route 033 will be enhanced on the 7th of September with a service at 5:20 a.m. departing from Fasnia – El Escobonal – El Tablado heading to Güímar; as well as a trip at 5:50 a.m. from La Sombrera – Fasnia – El Escobonal to Güímar.
Those interested can also utilise line 121 (Candelaria – La Viuda – El Socorro – Güímar Industrial Estate – La Hidalga – Arafo – Güímar Station).
Additionally, a special stop will be created at El Socorro for line 530, while line 8094 will not be in service during this period.
