
About 100 volunteers participated yesterday Sunday, in the cleaning of the beach of Las Teresitas, in an initiative framed within the project Target 58 km Litoral. During the day, 159 kilos of waste of all kinds were collected. This initiative is in addition to those carried out previously in the coastal area of Añaza and Valleseco. An activity organized by the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through the Sustainable Santa Cruz Foundation, and with the collaboration of the Cepsa Foundation, Ecoembes, the Terramare Environmental Association and Coca-Cola.
The mayor of the city, José Manuel Bermúdez, participated in the land collection on the beach and highlighted the objective of these actions as “promoting the values of environmental awareness and sustainability, trying to achieve greater care of the environment. seafarers from our municipality ”. “I want to thank all the volunteers for their effort, since with their work they support the idea of leaving a better future for future generations,” added the mayor.
The action covered the collection of waste from both the back of the beach, as well as the breakwater and sand area, and more than 20 divers participated in the marine collection.
