The National Police have apprehended two individuals on suspicion of drug trafficking in the Taco district.
Officers have confiscated 580 grams of heroin and 14 grams of cocaine, supposedly meant for retail sale in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and La Laguna.
The inquiry commenced when the officers, in connection with other investigations, received intelligence suggesting that two men, operating from a residence in the Taco area, were selling narcotic substances, specifically heroin and cocaine, at a retail level.
Due to the significant nature of the intelligence regarding the trafficking of hard drugs, a series of on-site investigations were swiftly executed, confirming the initially gathered information.
The agents received support from the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and the operation unfolded in two stages across the Taco de la Laguna and Santa María del Mar neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
With judicial consent, the national police conducted searches at two addresses, apprehending one individual at each site and seizing a total of 3,500 euros in cash, along with 580 grams of heroin and 14 grams of cocaine, likely intended for distribution within the local area.
Following the questioning of the suspects at the police station, they were presented to the relevant judicial authority, which ordered their remand in custody.
